RACE INFORMATION

Late breaking News

National Ultra Team member Richard Webb will be returning for this years event, looking to better his time from last year and break the 100km course record of 8:55:46.

 

Entry Fee

  • $55.00 for the 50K Division
  • $65.00 for the 50 Mile Division
  • $75.00 for the 100K Division

Entry Limits

  • Only the first 200 runners will be accepted. Register early to avoid disappointment

Location

  • The race course is located in Edmonton's famous River Valley, winding its way through three parks, Goldbar, Rundle, and Strathcona Science Park. The start at Goldbar Park is the home to the Edmonton Nordic Ski Club, a venue that has produced many world-class skiers. Ample parking is available as well as water & bathrooms in a heated indoor facility. For more information on the course, visit the course information page.

Distances

  • 100 Kilometers - certified - accurately measured (10 laps).
  • 50 Miles - certified - accurately measured (8 laps plus 470 metre's).
  • 50 Kilometers - certified - accurately measured (5 laps)

Starting Times

  • 6:00 a.m. sharp for all runners (all three ultra distances).

Cut-Off Time

  • 7:00 p.m. - All runners and walkers must finish in 13 hours or sooner
Age Categories
  • Open Men (20-39), Open Women (20-39), Master Men (40+), Master Women (40+).

Awards

  • Awards for top male and female in 50km, 50mile & 100km
  • Awards for first 5 men and women, open and master in 50km, 50mile and 100km

Prize Money - Top three male and female in 100km

  • 1st ~ $100
  • 2nd ~ $75
  • 3rd ~ $50

Bonus ~ Top Male & Female in 100km

  • Male ~ Break 7hrs ~ $100
  • Female ~ Break 8hrs ~ $100

T-Shirts

  • As part of entering, all competitors will receive a super stylish tech shirt care of Craft.

Services

  • Hammer Products and water will be available at the Start/Finish area and at 5km
  • Fruit and cookies will also be supplied.
  • Be sure to bring your own personal drinks and energy food, if you have specific preferences.
Post Race Food ~ 10am to 6pm
  • Amazing post-race food will be provided by Upper Crust Catering
    • Post race food available from 10am to 6pm at Goldbar Pavilion

Post Race Barbeque & Awards ~ 6pm to 8pm

  • After you have completed your race and have replenished with the post race food return home or head to Hardisty pool for a shower and then return for our post race Barbeque and awards. All racers and volunteers are invited to our Post Race Salmon Barbeque from 6pm to 8pm provided by the staff at Nakamun Group!
  • Awards will commence at 7pm in front of Goldbar Pavilion
